Each shared and WordPress plan card shows a "Regular Price" under the intro price, and a note says discounts apply to the first billing term and renewals use the regular price. Start Dock is $2.15/mo on the "Pay every 12 months" cards and renews at $11.95/mo. Monthly, 2-year and 3-year terms are listed, but their prices load only with JavaScript, so we couldn't read them. The plan pages show prices with a "$" sign without naming the currency, and we didn't see whether tax is included on the pages we read. VPS, Cloud and Dedicated CPU plans also show regular prices next to the intro price.
Web hosting review
HostArmada
HostArmada shows renewal prices on its plan cards and states support channels with response times, daily backup counts per plan, refund rules and how to move a domain away. Harder to pin down were a public status page, a company registration number and founding year, whether prices include tax, and limits for the "unlimited" features. Some pages give different numbers for the same thing, such as phone support hours and the count of data centres.

Price over time
Shared hosting renews at about 5.6 times the intro price
This is common in hosting, and HostArmada shows both prices on its plan cards. Intro prices are for the first term on the "Pay every 12 months" cards. Monthly prices in dollars, as shown, with no tax note, from hostarmada.com/cloud-ssd-shared-hosting and hostarmada.com/pricing on 21 Oct 2026.
Assumes the listed $11.95/mo regular price for 12 months. WordPress plans show the same prices. Actual renewal prices and terms may change.

What we found
Each finding links to the HostArmada page it came from. Prices are the dollar prices on hostarmada.com; the plan pages don't name the currency or say whether tax is included.
The terms say the agreement is between you and HostArmada INC. The privacy policy gives its address as 501 Silverside Rd, Wilmington, DE 19809, United States. The About page names five team leads but no founders, founding year or head office. We didn't see a company registration number on the pages we read, and the terms don't name a governing law.
We didn't see a public status page or a list of past incidents on the pages we read, and the help center's "Website Down" section doesn't link to one. The Service Level Agreement promises 99.9% website uptime and 100% network availability, excluding maintenance announced at least 2 days ahead. Credits are 10% of the monthly fee per hour of downtime, up to 100%, and can only be used for renewals, upgrades or new purchases. Downtime is measured from HostArmada's own records.
Support is offered by ticket, live chat and phone, and the contact page lists departments as available 24/7/365. It states response times: 10 minutes for tickets, instant for chat and phone, and 1 hour for email. The technical support page calls tickets the main channel and says phone support is on duty Monday to Friday, US business hours, which reads differently from the contact page. Support covers non-development website issues, domains, email, SSH, SSL and cPanel. We didn't see which languages support is offered in.
Shared and reseller hosting get a full refund if you cancel within 45 days, and VPS and Dedicated Servers within 7 days. Renewals, add-ons and shared plans paid monthly are excluded, and the cost of a free domain is kept. Plans renew automatically: the invoice comes 14 days ahead and the saved card is charged 7 days ahead. You cancel in the Client Dashboard or by ticket before the renewal date; after that date no refund is given, and a late cancellation in the last 7 days may get a refund minus one month at the regular price. The policy, last modified on 21 Jun 2023, doesn't mention WordPress hosting or Cloud Servers by name.
Shared and WordPress plans get one backup a day, kept for 7 days on Start Dock, 14 on Web Warp and 21 on Speed Reaper. You can restore files, databases and email yourself in the JetBackup section of cPanel. We didn't see whether a restore by support costs extra. The Service Level Agreement describes shared backups as "best effort" with at least one full copy, and says you should keep your own copies. Self-managed VPS includes one automated backup a month, and Cloud and Dedicated CPU servers get weekly cPanel backups by default.
Every shared and WordPress plan lists free SSL for all websites, malware scanning and removal, and a web application firewall with Imunify360. Two-factor login for the Client Area works with an authenticator app such as Google or Microsoft Authenticator, and gives you a backup code. The WordPress comparison table's malware row showed no values in what we read, while the plan cards list it.
The data centre page lists San Francisco, Dallas (twice), Newark, Montreal, London, Frankfurt, Mumbai, Singapore and Sydney, with the products each one offers. The same page also says "23 Datacenters in 5 Continents" and "9 Global Datacenter Locations". The privacy policy says you choose the data centre when you buy a plan. It includes the Data Processing Agreement terms, with the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and annexes, and says the sub-processor list is provided on request.
Each shared plan lists CPU cores, RAM and NVMe storage: Start Dock has 2 cores, 2 GB RAM and 15 GB. Bandwidth has no hard cap, with "acceptable usage" of 30, 60 and 90 GB. Web Warp and Speed Reaper list unlimited websites, and all plans list unlimited email accounts, databases and FTP accounts. The resource usage terms cap each database at 1000 MB and each mailbox at 3000 MB, but we didn't see a limit for websites or an inode count. VPS and Cloud plans list cores, RAM, storage and bandwidth as numbers.
You can make a full account backup in cPanel and download it, or zip your files in File Manager and export databases in phpMyAdmin. To move a domain away, you turn off the registrar lock and domain privacy, and request the EPP code in the Client Dashboard. We didn't see a fee for moving a domain away, but deleting a domain early may cost a fee. After cancelling, shared hosting data is kept for no more than 5 days and VPS data for 24 hours, so you need to download it first.
What you get per plan

Tech stack
Best for WordPress and PHP sites
Hosts are built for different kinds of sites. Here is what HostArmada says it runs, and on which plans. Tech fit is separate from the signal score.
WordPress
Best fitWordPress plans run on the same resources as shared hosting, with static caching on WP Launcher and WP Evolver and LiteSpeed dynamic caching on WP Speed Reaper. Plans include 1, 3 or 5 free website transfers, and support helps with WordPress, plugin and theme installs and updates. We didn't see staging mentioned.
Plans: WP Launcher, WP Evolver, WP Speed ReaperPHP
Best fitShared plans offer PHP 5.6 up to 8.3, set per domain in MultiPHP Manager. The development hosting page says SSH access, Composer and Git Version Control in cPanel come with all web hosting packages.
Plans: All shared and WordPress plansNode.js
SupportedThe development hosting page says Node.js is fully supported on all shared hosting packages, with a version selector and npm and Yarn. Apps are set up with "Setup Node.js App" in cPanel. The tutorial was last updated in January 2020 and doesn't list versions.
Plans: All shared plansPython
SupportedPython apps are set up with "Setup Python App" in cPanel, each in its own virtual environment with pip. The tutorial names Django and Flask only as examples and doesn't list versions or plans. The development hosting page lists a Python selector.
Plans: Shared plansDocker & containers
VPS plansSelf-managed VPS plans come with full root access, and the VPS page says you can use them to run containers. We didn't see Docker named. The smallest, Spark, has 1 core, 1 GB RAM and 40 GB NVMe, from $3.69/mo with a regular price of $8.20/mo.
Plans: Self-managed VPSSales practices
Worth a closer look
We check five common sales practices and note them next to the score, without changing it. Two need a pass through checkout, which this scan didn't do. We'll add them on the next recheck.
- Noticed"Unlimited" without a stated limit. Web Warp and Speed Reaper list unlimited websites, and all shared plans list unlimited email accounts and databases. The resource usage terms give sizes for databases and mailboxes, but we didn't see a number for websites or inodes. It may be published somewhere we didn't look.
- Not checked yetAdd-ons ticked for you at checkout. This scan didn't go through checkout. The VPS page says extra backup slots can be added at checkout, without a price.
- Not checked yetPrices that change at the payment step. We didn't see a tax note on the plan pages, and we didn't check the final checkout total.
- Not noticedCountdown timers that reset. No timers on the pages we read. Plan cards carry "82% OFF" and "BEST VALUE" labels, without an end date.
- NoticedReviews with no source. The homepage and reviews page show customer testimonials with names but no dates or links to where they were posted, including a carousel under a HostAdvice heading. Award badges link to G2, HostAdvice and other sites.

This report covers what HostArmada publishes, as read by an AI. It can miss things or misread a page. We didn't host a test site, so it says nothing about real speed or how helpful support feels.
