Each shared plan card shows the regular price next to the intro price: Starter is $1.99/mo and renews at $9.95/mo, and Extra is $5.49/mo and renews at $24.95/mo. A footnote says the promotional price is for the first term only, but we didn't see how long that term is, or which billing periods are offered, on the plan pages. The pricing page has no tax note; the service agreement says state sales tax has been added to applicable orders since 22 Jan 2024. A special-offer landing page shows Starter at $1.79/mo, or $1.34/mo with a coupon, so the starting price depends on the page you land on.
Web hosting review
FastComet
FastComet clearly explains its refund and renewal rules, its security tools and how to choose a data centre, and it runs a public status page with a long incident list. Harder to pin down were how long the first term at the intro price lasts, a company registration number, support response times, and how to download a full account backup. Some pages give different numbers for backup retention and data centre locations.

Price over time
Shared hosting renews at 4.3 to 5 times the intro price
This is common in hosting, and FastComet shows both prices on its plan cards. The intro price is for the first term only, and the plan pages don't say how long that term is. Monthly prices in dollars, with no tax note on the page, from fastcomet.com/pricing on 21 Oct 2026.

What we found
Each finding links to the FastComet page it came from. Prices are the dollar prices on fastcomet.com; the plan pages don't mention tax, and the service agreement says US state sales tax is added to applicable orders.
The About and contact pages name FastComet Inc., with an address at 1007 North Orange Street, 4th Fl. #255, Wilmington, Delaware. The About page says the company was established in 2013 and has more than 100 staff, but doesn't name its co-founders. The terms say FastComet INC owns and operates the website. The privacy policy, effective 30 Jul 2024, calls FastComet Inc. a Delaware corporation, gives a different Wilmington address for complaints, and names Hosting Holding Germany BidCo GmbH in Cologne as data controller for the EU, EEA, Switzerland and UK. We didn't see a company registration number on the pages we read.
A public status page tracks 21 components in six groups, from cPanel and VPS hosting to email, DNS and the support channels. When we looked on 21 Oct 2026, cPanel, Enhance and Plesk hosting showed a partial outage, with two open incidents. The incident list has 67 entries over several pages; the newest 20 run from 18 Jul to 16 Oct 2026. The uptime page links to the status page and promises 99.9% website availability and 100% public network availability, excluding maintenance. The credit is 10% of the monthly fee per hour of downtime, up to 100% of that month's fee.
Support is offered 24/7/365 by live chat, support ticket and phone, with a US number, +1 855 818 9717. Technical and billing tickets go through the Client Area. The homepage says 83% of 10,000 support requests were resolved in under 15 minutes, while the WordPress page says 83% were resolved after one contact. We didn't see stated response times for chat, tickets or phone, apart from "15 min. response time" in an image description on the support page. We didn't see which languages support covers.
The 30-day money-back guarantee covers the first payment for shared hosting only; Cloud VPS and dedicated servers get no refunds. Setup fees, domain registration and transfer fees, cloud apps, licences and add-ons are excluded. After 30 days there are no refunds, except a prorated refund when FastComet itself cancels for a reason other than a terms violation. Services renew automatically at the regular rate, with invoices at least 7 days ahead and the charge taken 3 days before the due date. You cancel only through the Cancellation Request form in the Client Area, at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
The plan table lists daily backups kept for 7 days on Starter, Essential and Plus, and 30 days on Extra. The WordPress and security pages say up to 30 daily offsite backups on every shared plan, so the pages read differently. Restores are self-service in cPanel through JetBackup 5, and the security page says restores cost nothing extra. The JetBackup article says full-account restore is switched off and backup downloads go through a support ticket, reviewed case by case; the Backup Manager lets you download single databases. For Cloud VPS and dedicated servers, the article describes JetBackup as a paid add-on, while the Cloud VPS page lists free daily and weekly backups.
Free Let's Encrypt SSL certificates, including wildcards, come with web hosting plans and are installed and renewed automatically. Two-factor login for the Client Area works with an authenticator app such as Google Authenticator or Authy, with a backup PIN in case you lose your phone. Imunify360 is part of every shared hosting plan at no extra cost, with automatic malware scanning, cleanup of infected files, and on-demand scans in cPanel. The security page also lists the ModSecurity web application firewall and CloudLinux isolation for each account.
The data centres page names 12 locations across the Americas, Europe, Asia and Australia. A help article updated on 23 Sep 2026 says you pick the data centre from a drop-down on the order page, but it lists only 6 of them, and the Cloud VPS page lists 24 cities, so which locations apply to which plans isn't spelled out. Moving to another location is done by support ticket; we didn't see a fee for it. A Customer GDPR Data Processing Agreement, version October 2022, forms part of the terms, names FastComet Inc. as processor and refers to standard contractual clauses. The privacy policy names an EU data controller in Cologne for customers in the EU, EEA, Switzerland and UK.
Each shared plan lists storage, CPU cores and memory as numbers: Starter has 10 GB NVMe, 1 core and 1 GB RAM, and Extra has 40 GB, 4 cores and 4 GB. Plans also list traffic figures from 20480 to 97280 without a unit, and estimated unique visits from about 10,000 to 100,000 a month. Plus and Extra list unlimited websites, email accounts and databases. The resource usage policy defines "unlimited" by the average use of similar customers and says CPU and memory can't stay at 80% for an hour, but gives no number for these items or for inodes. Cloud VPS plans list vCPU, RAM, SSD and bandwidth: Cloud 2 has 2 vCores, 4 GB RAM, 80 GB SSD and 4 TB.
To move a domain away, you turn off Registrar Lock and get the EPP code in the Client Area; the domain must be more than 60 days old and have more than 15 days left before it expires. We didn't see a fee for moving a domain away. Files can be downloaded over FTP or the File Manager, and databases exported in phpMyAdmin or downloaded from the Backup Manager. The JetBackup article says full-account backups are switched off and backup downloads go through a support ticket, so we didn't see a self-service full-account export. After cancellation, shared hosting data is kept for no more than 5 calendar days, and Cloud VPS and dedicated data may be deleted within 24 hours.
What you get per plan
Numbers come from the plan table on the FastComet pricing page. Traffic is shown without a unit, and visits are FastComet's own estimates. Bars compare each row against the largest plan.

| Storage | 10 GB NVMe | 30 GB NVMe | 40 GB NVMe |
| CPU cores | 1 | 3 | 4 |

Tech stack
Best for WordPress and PHP sites
Hosts are built for different kinds of sites. Here is what FastComet says it runs, and on which plans. Tech fit is separate from the signal score.
WordPress
Best fitWordPress hosting uses the same four plans as web hosting, with LiteSpeed Cache, staging and cloning in the WordPress Toolkit, automatic smart updates and Git. Free website migration from any host is included on all plans.
Plans: All shared plansPHP
Best fitShared hosting offers PHP 5.6 up to 8.3, with 8.2 as the default for new accounts, chosen per account or per folder in the PHP Selector. SSH is on by default for all shared plans, on port 17177.
Plans: All shared plansNode.js
SupportedAll four shared plans list Node.js support, set up with the cPanel Node.js app selector, with npm pre-installed. The page says support will help with app installs, configuration and deployments. Node.js cloud and dedicated servers are also offered, without prices on that page.
Plans: All shared plansPython
SupportedThe Python page describes the cPanel Python Selector, with versions 2.7 to 3.7.3, set up through "Setup Python App". It says Django is only available on dedicated servers. We didn't see which shared plans include Python.
Plans: cPanel hosting; Django on dedicated onlyDocker & containers
VPS plansWe didn't see Docker or containers on the pages we read. Cloud VPS plans are fully managed with cPanel/WHM, and the FAQ says you may get superuser access to the operating system. The smallest, Cloud 2, has 2 vCores, 4 GB RAM and 80 GB SSD for $53.87/mo, renewing at $76.95/mo.
Plans: Cloud VPS, from Cloud 2Sales practices
Worth a closer look
We check five common sales practices and note them next to the score, without changing it. Two need a pass through checkout, which this scan didn't do, and one timer needs watching over time. We'll add them on the next recheck.
- Noticed"Unlimited" without a stated limit. Plus and Extra list unlimited websites, email accounts and databases, and all plans list unlimited subdomains and FTP accounts. The resource usage policy defines unlimited by the average use of similar customers, without a number. It may be published somewhere we didn't look.
- Not checked yetAdd-ons ticked for you at checkout. This scan didn't go through checkout.
- Not checked yetPrices that change at the payment step. The plan pages don't mention tax, and the service agreement says state sales tax is added to applicable orders. We didn't check the final checkout total.
- Not checked yetCountdown timers that reset. A special-offer landing page shows a countdown in hours, minutes and seconds, with no end date. We didn't check whether it resets. The main plan pages had no timer.
- NoticedReviews with no source. The reviews page opens with about nine quotes that carry no name, and its "Authentic User Reviews" don't say where they were posted. The homepage shows Trustpilot as 4.9/5 from 1,961 reviews, while the support page shows 4.8/5 from 3,205 reviews. Named customer stories link to FastComet blog spotlights.

This report covers what FastComet publishes, as read by an AI. It can miss things or misread a page. We didn't host a test site, so it says nothing about real speed or how helpful support feels.
