Web hosting review

Cloudzy

Cloudzy sells self-managed cloud VPS and dedicated servers in 13 locations. Its site clearly names the company behind it, with a registration number, and explains plan specs, data centre cities and support hours and reply times. A few things were harder to pin down from the website alone: what plans cost after the current 50% sale, the full terms, automatic backups, two-factor login, and how to take your data with you, since snapshots can't be downloaded.

Price over time

The crossed-out price is 2 times the sale price

Plan cards show a sale price next to a crossed-out list price, under a "50% off all plans, limited time" banner. We didn't see a renewal price or the term the sale price needs, so the crossed-out price is shown here in its place. Monthly prices in dollars ($) for Regular CPU plans, from cloudzy.com/pricing on 21 Oct 2026; the pages we read don't mention tax.

What we found

Each finding links to the Cloudzy page it came from. Prices are the dollar ($) prices on cloudzy.com; the pages we read don't name the currency or say whether tax is included.

An AI read Cloudzy's public pages to write these findings. When something is partly clear or not seen, it may be explained on a page we didn't read, or our scan may have missed it.
Price

Honest pricing

Partly clear · 5 pts

Plan cards show a sale price next to a crossed-out list price, under a "50% off all plans, limited time" banner with no end date. The 512 MB plan is $2.48/mo, list $4.95/mo, and the 4 GB plan is $14.48/mo, list $28.95/mo. We didn't see a renewal price, or whether the discount lasts past the first term. The billing wording varies: the pricing page says monthly and annual are both 50% off "right now", its FAQ says annual means paying 12 months upfront for half the monthly rate, and the homepage switch shows −50% yearly, −40% monthly and −35% hourly. The pages we read don't mention tax.

Who runs it

Clear · 10 pts

The About and Contact pages name Cloudzy AI Information Technology L.L.C., register number 2312897, at Bin Dasmal Building 1, Office 80, Al Goze Industrial First, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The About page says the business was founded in 2008 as RouterHosting, renamed Cloudzy in 2022, and set up the Dubai company in 2024. The terms page names the same company in its footer. We didn't see which registry issued the number, or a separate company for EU customers.

Problems

Uptime in public

Partly clear · 5 pts

A public status page tracks locations in the US, Germany and Australia, plus the website, customer panel, webmail and API. We didn't see incidents on the page itself; its incident feed listed one past item, a service degradation in the Utah region on 23 May 2026, marked completed. The SLA promises 99.95% uptime, with credits for monthly downtime over 20 minutes and a full month's credit above 36 hours. Credits aren't automatic: you claim them by ticket at the start of the following month.

People

Reachable support

Clear · 10 pts

Technical support is 24/7 through a ticket in the dashboard or support@cloudzy.com, and the ticket guide says replies typically come within 24 hours. The homepage gives a median first response of 18 minutes. Billing support works Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm EST, with same-day replies, and sales replies within one business day. The contact page also lists a UAE phone number, WhatsApp, Telegram and Discord, without hours for these.

Price

Fair terms

Partly clear · 5 pts

The money-back page offers 14 days on all cloud and VPS services for new signups, requested by ticket or email with no reason needed. Refunds go back to the original payment method, usually within one business day; accounts suspended under the Acceptable Use Policy are excluded, and renewals, add-ons and domains have conditions the page doesn't list. The pricing FAQ says there is no auto-renew: you get an invoice before each renewal. The terms page is a summary that refers to "the full terms" for billing, cancellation and your data after termination, and we didn't find that document. We didn't see whether refunds are possible after 14 days.

Data

Backups you can use

Partly clear · 5 pts

We didn't see automatic backups on the pages we read. You take snapshots yourself from the panel, after powering off the server, and can keep several per server. The snapshot guide says each costs $0.048 per GB a month, while the pricing FAQ says snapshots are free, and we didn't see a retention period. A snapshot can be cloned to a new server with a new IP, but not restored onto an existing one, and the guide says snapshots can't be downloaded.

Data

Security basics

Partly clear · 5 pts

Mitigation of network-level DDoS attacks is included free on every server; application-level attacks need your own rate limiting or firewall. The WordPress app page mentions built-in HTTPS, while the Node.js app page leaves setting up HTTPS with Certbot to you. The account security tab described in the help center covers passwords, and we didn't see two-factor login or malware scanning on the pages we read. A Linux security guide explains setting up a firewall, SSH keys and Fail2Ban yourself.

Data

Data location

Clear · 10 pts

The homepage lists 13 live locations: six in the US, four in Europe (Amsterdam, Frankfurt, London and Bern), and Dubai, Singapore and Sydney, with Tokyo coming soon. You pick a region when you order, and a server stays in its region; moving means a snapshot and a new server. The Europe page says instance data isn't copied across regions unless you do it, and offers a data processing agreement on request ("Talk to us for a DPA"). We didn't see the GDPR mentioned in the privacy policy.

Real specs

Clear · 10 pts

The pricing page lists vCPUs, DDR5 memory, NVMe storage and monthly transfer as numbers for all 10 Regular CPU plans and 9 High Frequency plans. The 512 MB plan has 1 vCPU, 20 GB NVMe and 1 TB of transfer; the 4 GB plan has 2 vCPUs, 120 GB and 5 TB. Pages also say "No egress fees", while the bandwidth guide says traffic above the allowance costs $0.01 per GB. We didn't see "unlimited" used for resources.

Easy exit

Partly clear · 5 pts

We didn't see a fee for leaving, or a guide to closing an account. Snapshots can't be downloaded, and the region migration guide tells you to make your own full backup and upload it to the new server; with root SSH access you can copy files and databases off yourself. Moving regions through support "may involve additional costs". We didn't see domain registration on the pages we read, so there is no domain to transfer out.

What you get per plan

All numbers come from the Cloudzy pricing page. These are three Regular CPU Cloud VPS plans; High Frequency plans have the same specs and prices. Bars compare each row against the largest plan.

Tech stack

Best for servers you run yourself

Hosts are built for different kinds of sites. Here is what Cloudzy says it runs, and on which products. Tech fit is separate from the signal score.

Best fit: tools built for it on regular plansSupported: runs on some plans, with limitsVPS plans: you set it up yourself on a server

WordPress

VPS plans

A WordPress one-click app sets up Nginx, PHP-FPM and the latest WordPress on Ubuntu, with built-in HTTPS, from a 2 GB plan. The page calls it a managed WordPress VPS but also gives you root access, and we didn't see who handles updates.

Plans: Cloud VPS, from 2 GB

PHP

VPS plans

The marketplace lists LAMP and LEMP apps, and control panels such as cPanel, CloudPanel, aaPanel and Plesk, on servers you manage. We didn't see shared hosting for PHP sites.

Plans: Cloud VPS, from 1 GB

Node.js & Python

VPS plans

The Node.js app installs Node.js 24 behind NGINX on Ubuntu 24.04, and you deploy your app and set up HTTPS yourself. The marketplace also lists Django, Flask and FastAPI apps. We didn't see a managed app platform.

Plans: Cloud VPS, from 1 GB

Docker & containers

VPS plans

A Docker template installs Docker Engine and Compose in about a minute, and the page says K3s or microk8s install with one command on plans from 2 GB. We didn't see a managed container or Kubernetes service.

Plans: Cloud VPS, from 1 GB

Self-hosted apps

VPS plans

Every plan includes root SSH on KVM, dedicated IPv4 and IPv6, and a marketplace the site says holds over 1,000 one-click apps, including static site tools such as Docusaurus and MkDocs.

Plans: Cloud VPS, from $2.48/mo on sale

Sales practices

Worth a closer look

We check five common sales practices and note them next to the score, without changing it. Two need a pass through checkout, which this scan didn't do. We'll add them on the next recheck.

  • Not noticed
"Unlimited" without a stated limit. We didn't see "unlimited" on the pages we read. Pages say "No egress fees", while each plan lists a transfer allowance and the bandwidth guide prices extra traffic at $0.01 per GB.
  • Not checked yet
Add-ons ticked for you at checkout. This scan didn't go through checkout.
  • Not checked yet
Prices that change at the payment step. The pages we read don't mention tax. We didn't check the final checkout total.
  • Not noticed
Countdown timers that reset. No timers on the pages we read. A banner on every page says "50% off all plans, limited time", with no end date.
  • Not noticed
Reviews with no source. Trustpilot reviews carry a name and date, and testimonials carry a name and role, with Cloudzy's sponsorships disclosed. The reviews page also makes general claims such as "Reviewers consistently mention…" without naming reviewers.
