Web hosting review

ChemiCloud

ChemiCloud's legal pages explain refunds, renewals, uptime credits, backups and data centre locations in detail, and its plan tables give CPU, memory and storage numbers. Harder to pin down were the renewal price itself, since the higher price next to each intro price isn't labelled as one, a company registration number, and past incidents on the status page. Different pages also give different numbers of server locations.

Price over time

The regular price is 5.6 to 6.1 times the intro price

Plan cards show a higher price next to each intro price, and the footnote says plans renew at the regular rate shown in your control panel; the page doesn't call the higher price the renewal price. The order buttons lead to a 36-month (triennial) term, which the cards don't state. Monthly prices in US dollars, without tax per the terms, from chemicloud.com/web-hosting on 21 Oct 2026.

What we found

Each finding links to the ChemiCloud page it came from. Prices are the US-dollar prices on chemicloud.com, without tax, which the terms say is added on top.

An AI read ChemiCloud's public pages to write these findings. When something is partly clear or not seen, it may be explained on a page we didn't read, or our scan may have missed it.

Honest pricing

Partly clear · 5 pts

Each shared plan card shows a higher price next to the intro price: Starter is $1.95/mo next to $11.95, with a "Now 84% Off!" label. The footnote says promotional prices are for the initial term only and renew "at the regular rate found in your control panel", but the card doesn't call the higher price the renewal price. The order buttons lead to the triennial (36-month) billing cycle, though the cards don't state the term. A ChemiCloud price guide shows Starter at $2.49/mo on a 36-month term and says renewal rates are shown at checkout and in the client area. The terms say all fees are in US dollars and exclude taxes.

People

Who runs it

Partly clear · 5 pts

The terms and contact page name CCHosting, Inc., a Delaware corporation, at 1111B S Governors Ave #48212, Dover, Delaware 19904, USA. The footer spells it "CChosting, Inc.". The About page says ChemiCloud was founded in 2016, is privately owned and independent, and has a globally distributed team, without naming a head office city or the people who run it. The privacy policy names a Privacy Officer, who is also the EU representative under GDPR. We didn't see a company registration number on the pages we read.

Problems

Uptime in public

Partly clear · 5 pts

A public status page shows "All Systems are Operational" and links to active, scheduled and past incident views. The past incidents view didn't load for our reader, so we couldn't check incident history. The service agreement promises 99.99% annual uptime, measured by ChemiCloud's own monitoring. Below that, you get one month of free hosting, plus a month for every 1% under 99.00%, capped at 12 months. You claim it with a billing ticket within 10 business days.

People

Reachable support

Clear · 10 pts

Support is available 24/7 by live chat and support ticket, and the contact page lists a phone number, +1 (214) 613-3146, without phone hours. The homepage promises instant live chat and first ticket replies within 10 minutes, and the contact page says tickets get a reply "in minutes". The service agreement itself only commits to "a reasonable level of technical support" by email or live chat, with no response time. We didn't see which languages support covers.

Shared, WordPress, Reseller, Python and Managed WordPress hosting have a 45-day money-back guarantee, and VPS has 7 days, counted from activation. Add-ons, domains, paid migrations and renewals are excluded, and the domain's regular rate is taken off the refund if you got a free domain. Renewals are charged at the standard rate 7 days before the due date, after at least 10 days' notice of the renewal price. The terms allow a partial refund minus a 10% fee, or full credit, if you cancel within 7 days of an unexpected renewal (2 days for VPS), while a help article updated in May 2026 says no refunds are given after the guarantee. You cancel with a form in the Client Area, either at once or at the end of the billing period.

Data

Backups you can use

Clear · 10 pts

Shared and WordPress plans include daily off-site JetBackup backups, kept for 10 days on Starter, 20 days on Pro and 30 days on Turbo. You can restore full accounts, files, databases and email yourself in cPanel, and the help center says JetBackup comes at no extra cost on Web, WordPress and Reseller plans. The plan table lists one-click backup restore as a Pro feature. VPS plans need the paid Cloud Remote Backup add-on, which keeps 30 days. The terms say these backups aren't guaranteed and ask you to keep your own, and a cPanel backup made by staff has a fee.

Data

Security basics

Clear · 10 pts

All hosting plans include free Let's Encrypt SSL. Two-factor login for the ChemiCloud account is turned on in the client area's security settings, using an authenticator app such as Google Authenticator or Duo, and cPanel has its own two-factor option. Shared plans include Imunify360 malware detection, and Turbo adds advanced malware protection and free malware removal. The security page also lists CageFS account isolation, a web application firewall and free DDoS protection.

Data

Data location

Clear · 10 pts

The service agreement names nine locations for shared, WordPress and reseller hosting, including Frankfurt and London, and 13 for Cloud VPS. Email hosting and Managed WordPress run in the United States, and the GDPR page says these can't be moved to the EU. The homepage says you can choose from 17 locations, while the shared hosting page names Dallas and Bucharest, which aren't on the locations page. The GDPR page offers a signed Article 28 data processing addendum as a PDF, with EU standard contractual clauses from 2021. The service agreement says ChemiCloud may change an account's default location.

Shared plan tables list NVMe storage, CPU cores and RAM: Starter has 20 GB, 1 core and 2 GB, and Turbo has 50 GB, 3 cores and 6 GB. The Resource Usage Policies add entry processes (10 to 30), 10 MB/s of I/O, 100 processes, and MySQL and email sending limits. Bandwidth and email accounts are listed as unlimited on every plan, and websites on Pro and Turbo, and we didn't see a number for bandwidth in the policies. The Node.js page shows different storage and RAM for the same plan names, such as 1 GB RAM on Starter. Cloud VPS plans list vCPU, RAM, storage and traffic: Cloud 1 has 2 vCPU, 4 GB RAM, 80 GB NVMe and 4 TB.

You can download a full account backup from JetBackup 5 in cPanel, and export single databases as .sql.gz files from cPanel's Backup page. The terms say a manual full-account backup is free, while a cPanel backup made by staff has a fee. For domains, you get the EPP code in the Client Area, and the domain agreement says transfers aren't allowed within 60 days of registration or a previous transfer and take about five business days. We didn't see a fee for moving a domain away. Cancelled accounts are removed from the server and can't be restored, so you need to download everything first.

Tech stack

Best for WordPress and PHP sites

Hosts are built for different kinds of sites. Here is what ChemiCloud says it runs, and on which plans. Tech fit is separate from the signal score.

Best fit: tools built for it on regular plansSupported: runs on some plans, with limitsVPS plans: you set it up yourself on a serverNot offered: look at another host

WordPress

Best fit

WordPress hosting plans match the shared plans in price and resources, with LiteSpeed, LiteSpeed Cache, Redis object cache, WP-CLI and free migrations. Staging is listed on Pro and Turbo. Managed WordPress is a separate product from $15/mo, running in the United States.

Plans: All shared and WordPress plans

PHP

Best fit

Shared plans include a PHP selector with versions 5.6 to 8.4, MariaDB 10.6 and unlimited MySQL databases. The help center explains SSH keys from cPanel's SSH Access page, and the security page says you can host Git repositories in cPanel.

Plans: All shared plans

Node.js

Supported

Node.js apps are set up with a Node.js selector in cPanel on the Starter, Pro and Turbo plans. The page lists versions from 8.17.0 up to 16.17.1, and we didn't see newer versions named.

Plans: Starter, Pro and Turbo

Python

Supported

Python is listed among shared hosting developer features, and separate Python plans start at $11.95/mo next to $34.95 on a two-year term. A Python selector in cPanel offers versions 2.7 to 3.11. Django works, but you manage it yourself.

Plans: Python Pro, Growth and Turbo

Docker & containers

Not offered

We didn't see Docker or container hosting on the pages we read. Cloud VPS plans are fully managed with cPanel/WHM, and the VPS page doesn't say whether root access is included.

Sales practices

Worth a closer look

We check five common sales practices and note them next to the score, without changing it. Two need a pass through checkout, which this scan didn't do. We'll add them on the next recheck.

  • Noticed
"Unlimited" without a stated limit. Shared plans list unlimited bandwidth and email accounts, and Pro and Turbo list unlimited websites. The Resource Usage Policies give limits for CPU, memory, processes and email sending, but no number for bandwidth. It may be published somewhere we didn't look.
  • Not checked yet
Add-ons ticked for you at checkout. This scan didn't go through checkout.
  • Not checked yet
Prices that change at the payment step. The terms say fees exclude taxes, and a price guide says renewal rates are shown at checkout. We didn't check the final checkout total.
  • Not checked yet
Countdown timers that reset. The homepage and shared hosting page show an "Expires In" countdown in hours, minutes and seconds, with no end date. We didn't check whether it resets.
  • Noticed
Reviews with no source. The homepage shows ratings from TrustProfile, HostAdvice, Google and G2 without links to them. The reviews page shows named customer quotes under a HostAdvice heading, with no dates and one general HostAdvice link.

Questions to ask ChemiCloud

Each partly clear or unseen signal leaves a question that the website didn't answer for us. ChemiCloud's support can probably answer them before you buy.
